On the last Friday of every month, Michelle aka LOVE the poet hosts BE FREE Fridays at the Eubie Blake Jazz Institute and Cultural Center, and TONIGHT marks the event’s 5 Year Anniversary! This month’s BE FREE Friday will feature David “Native Son” Ross, who you may recall from the City Paper article is one of Michelle’s early inspirations and mentors. Tonight’s show will also feature SolRose – a dynamic female duo who intertwine poetry and song over acoustic guitar.
As this promises to be an amazing show and since it is, after all, the 5 Year Anniversary, they’re going to be streaming it live on UStream. So if you can’t make it to the event itself, you can watch and chat by clicking here.

When: March 25 -TONIGHT- Doors open @ 7pm, show starts @ 8pm.
Where: Eubie Blake Jazz Institute and Cultural Center, 4th Floor, 847 N. Howard St. Baltimore MD 21201
What else: $5 before 8pm, $10 after. First 5 Performing Poets get in FREE!!
Parking: There is a parking lot on the 800 block of Howard St in between ‘Antiques’ and ‘Drusilla’s Books’
