The annual Baker Artist Awards exhibit at the Baltimore Museum of Art opens in just two weeks on September 7th and as we look forward to seeing the work of all of the 2011 award winners, we thought we’d give you a behind-the-scenes look throughout the installation of the exhibit. A lot of hard work goes into putting a show like this together, and what follows is a mere glimpse of the time and effort put forth by everyone involved…
The first swatch of “Baker Blue” as it consumes Thalheimer Gallery walls!
Gary Kachadourian, clearly making progress on his massive installation. And speaking of “Baker Blue”, check out the lift in the background. That’s the “Baker Artist Awards Installation Lift”.
Not sure what this or where it’s going yet, but when it’s all done we’ll look back at this photo and say “Ohhhh, well that’s cool!”
As installation of the exhibit continues, we’ll keep you posted on it’s progress. And although we’ll be showing some cool stuff as it comes together, we’re saving the best for the exhibit itself and the closing Late Night Event on October 1st, so mark your calendars and don’t miss out!
