In just two weeks, we’ll be announcing the winners of the 2012 Mary Sawyers Baker Prize on a special episode of Artworks This Week on Maryland Public Television at 8:00pm! Host of the show Rhea Feikin will interview the three award recipients and present examples of their work along with brief video bio’s of each.
The program will also recap the recipients of the 2012 b Grants and feature a guest appearance by Tom Hall of WYPR and the Baltimore Choral Arts Society.
AND – In honor of this year’s winners and the 2012 award season, we’re gonna throw another party!
Join us at the The Metro Gallery at 1700 North Charles Street on April 25th to celebrate the awards, the Baltimore arts community, and, of course, for pizza and beer! The party is from 7:000pm to 9:00pm, and we’ll be watching the MPT announcement on the big screen when it airs at 8:00pm. Pizza will be provided by Joe Squared, and there will be complimentary drinks as well. Please note that space is limited, so be sure to get there early!!
