About Gil › I'm inspired by the living form and by the personalities of my subjects. I try to imbue my paintings with a sense of movement or a particular mood through bold colors or rich tones. A simple pose can be defined by something as small the way a hand rests on a leg or the way a color reflects back onto a thigh from a fabric. Bringing those personal observations to a painting makes all the difference for me.
