Overview
My signature, largest, and best-known body of work is what I call â??The Baltimore Cylindrical Project.â? For this I have gone to locations in Baltimore that speak to my own sense of the city and photographed them using the cylindrical panoramic process. In this process I take up to 80 exposures of a single location, panning and tilting all from a singular position on the tripod so that each individual exposure doesnâ??t capture the complete place but when merged together seamlessly in postproduction a whole is created. With this technique I am able to get the viewer to look around the photograph just as they would look around the actual location panning and tilting their heads while simultaneously using cylindrical bends to offer a perspective unavailable to the human eye. Following the postproduction, photo-stitching process I employ a variety of additional filters to give my photos their crisp edge.
