The recurring theme of Annabelle the Goat. I met Annabelle at the J-Mar stables in Monkton, Maryland. She would have been the size of a cat if she weren't so fat. You can tell by her arresting stare that she commands her share of respect. Or she'll butt your kneecaps out. We came to an understanding.

With these works I place objects and images with poems to create interactive works which collectively suggest a narrative about the passage of time, foolish ambitions and even some joking around. All the pieces in this series measure 12" x 12", mixed media on wood supports.

Furniture for Intellectual Property. When you collect your thoughts, where do you put them? Some fleeting ideas are so fragile they need to be fostered into viability. How do you illustrate the memory of an inarticulated wish? I found myself trying over and over to capture the vague yearning that old buildings, empty spaces and imaginary pasts made me feel about the passage of time. All 12" X 12" Mixed Media- gel transfers, collaged papers, cigar boxes, lace, hardware, shreds of poetry, memories and aspirations on wood.

Good, heavy cold press paper is such a versatile surface. It accepts a number of applications of water based media, dry media and layers of other kind of papers and cloth wet glued to it. Each brand has slightly different attributes. I've been working a lot with Arches, whose texture can be clearly seen in the painted backgrounds of classic Disney animated cartoons and features.

A portfolio of 12" X 12" mixed media works which include gel transfers, handmade papers, flattened beer cans and hardware on wood supports. Some of these pieces have functional interactivity with bottle openers, weather instruments or a mail slot.
